Hair Bundles Care: How to Properly Care for Hair Bundle

Whether you're new to hair bundle or have used them in the past, it's always a good idea to refresh your memory on how to properly take care of them. It’s important to get into a good routine with your hair bundle from the start because good habits equal longer lasting bundle.

Read on to learn all about hair bundle care, tips and, tricks to ensure long lasting bundle! 

With regular care and attention, you can ensure your hair bundles last as long as possible and stay looking healthy and bouncy. So, if you want to learn how to properly take care of your clip-in hair extensions, read  through this page to discover all of our care tips and tricks.

Pre-Installation

Always wash your hair bundles with organic shampoo first before installation. You will be able to detect any issues with your bundles at this time. If you do, please contact us immediately to discuss the problems and we will resolve them accordingly.

Installation

Use the over and out method when installing your hair. Although our wefts are custom made, we still advise that you care for them the best you can. Not required, but you may seal your wefts using a good quality weft sealant. Also, cut your wefts only when absolutely necessary. After your install, brush your hair out thoroughly to remove loose hairs.

DEEP/LOOSE CURLY/SOFT KINKS

Maintenance

  • Apply a moisture rich Conditioner and comb hair, starting with the ends working your way up to your scalp.
  • Leave Conditioner in for at least 5-15 minutes or more
  • Do not massage the hair.
  • Rinse thoroughly.
  • Scrunch hair gently to enhance the curls.
  • When damp, apply a dime size of an anti-frizz alcohol free hair serum.For soft kinks, a curl cream may be required for a more tamed look,
  • Let air-dry
  • Do not use oil products or excessive products on curly hair, it will cause matting.
  • Do not brush or comb hair when dry, it will cause hair to frizz and may cause hair to tangle.
  • Important NOTE: Conditioner only wash is recommended at least 3 times a week

Bed Time Care

  • Before going to bed, put your hair in one big high ponytail (pineapple), wear a satin scarf or bonnet.
  • After waking up, untie ponytail.
  • Spray hair with a water bottle and comb through section by section using a wide tooth comb starting from the roots to the top.
  • Scrunch hair gently.
  • Let air-dry.
  • Do not touch when wet. This causes the hair to get big and frizzy.

Maintenance

  • Wet hair completely.
  • Apply a moisturizing conditioner and brush hair, starting with the ends working your way up to your scalp.
  • Rinse thoroughly.
  • Let air-dry.

Daily Care

  • Brush or comb through to style.
  • Apply an alcohol-free hair serum for shine as needed.

Bed Time Care

  • Before going to bed, braid your hair into one loose large braid and wear a satin scarf or bonnet.
  • After waking up, undo braid and comb using a wide tooth comb (or paddle brush)through beginning at the ends and working your way up to roots.
  • Style as needed

Maintenance

  • Important NOTE: Conditioner only wash is recommended at least once a week
  • Do not massage the hair.
  • Rinse thoroughly.
  • Apply a moisture conditioner and comb hair, starting with the ends working your way up to your scalp.
